Got an idea you want governance or membership to discuss and/or vote on?
Presenting your proposal to the next board public meeting will give you the opportunity to discuss the idea, get feedback, flesh out any gaps, and ask the board to vote on it. If the response from the board is unfavorable, or if you’d rather have the full membership vote on your idea as a referendum, you can also petition to start the initiative process. Find templates and examples below, and reach out to a governance officer if you have any questions.
